Lili and Martha’s story

Harri’s story

Therapeutic play sessions and the Beads of Courage programme helped Cici prepare for a medical procedure while giving her a way to process her experiences in a child friendly way.

Lacey and Annie’s story

Sibling packs helped Lacey understand her baby sister’s Annie's time in NICU. It helped her process her emotions and stay connected to Annie and her mum throughout their five-and-a-half-week hospital journey.

Niko's story

Thanks to you the Noah’s Ark Charity provided Niko’s mum Amy with an emergency parent pack, giving her the essentials during his unexpected hospital admission so she could care for Niko without leaving his side.

Lewis’ story

The specialised therapeutic hospital play team supported Lewis to feel safe during frightening procedures. They helped him regain confidence and bring fun and normality back into his seven-month hospital stay.

Freddie’s story

After a fall on a trampoline, Freddie suffered a stroke.  He spent the summer at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales undergoing rehabilitation. The therepeutic specialised play service gave Freddie a safe space to relax, have fun and be a child.

Vinnie’s story

Six-year-old Vinnie has been a patient at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales since he was four. Thanks to you, the Noah’s Ark Charity funded the specialised and therapeutic play service, with play specialist Allison supporting him through difficult days.

Teddy's story

Because of you the specialised and therapeutic play service helped Teddy feel safe through frightening treatment for neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer, they brought play to his bedside and restored some normality during his hospital stay. 

Tilly’s story

Thanks to you the therepuetic and specialised play service helped Tilly navigate her treatment after she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Through play she was able to prepare for frightening procedures in an age-appropriate way, and experience moments of normality in hospital.

Lilah’s story

With thanks to you, the Noah’s Ark Charity funded the wellbeing service who supported Lilah after diabetic ketoacidosis led to a brain bleed. Lilah and her mum Lindsay with counselling, music therapy and Sparkle activities helping them through six months in hospital.

Vickie and Freddie's story

Freddie from Brecon was a happy, healthy three-year-old when three common viruses attacked his heart, causing him to go into heart failure. Sparkle Co-ordinator Emily, supported Freddie and his big sister Millie by bringing moments of joy during rehabilitation.

Twm's story

Thanks to you, the Noah’s Ark Charity funded music therapy gives Twm, who has haemophilia and has experienced life-threatening brain bleeds and seizures, a new way to communicate, focus, find calm and experience joy during his hospital stays.

Marnie’s story

The Noah’s Ark Charity funded the children’s theatre suites, specialist equipment, ventilators and incubators that supported Marnie who was born with gastroschisis, a birth defect where a hole in the abdominal wall causes a baby’s intestines to grow outside of the body through her recovery. 

Hallie-Mae’s story

The Noah’s Ark Charity funded Sparkle Co-ordinator Emily, brought treats and laughter to Hallie, after spinal surgery, cardiac arrest and rehabilitation. She arranged a pamper session for mum Charlene, and created moments of joy during Hallie’s long hospital journey.
